Welcome to Tiny & Friends Dog Camp!

We’re dedicated to your dog’s happiness and well-being. Dog Camp gives your dog the opportunity to socialize, exercise, and strengthen their obedience and manners through structured off-leash adventures.

We believe training and enrichment should be an adventure!

What Is Dog Camp?

Dog Camp is a group hiking service for friendly dogs with basic obedience, reliable recall, and good manners.

We pick up your dog at home and transport them with their camp buddies to an outdoor area suitable for off-leash activities. Together, we hike, explore, swim, socialize, and practice essential skills.

Each outing lasts approximately 2.5–4 hours, similar to a half-day of traditional daycare. It’s a great option for adventurous dogs who enjoy being outdoors, as well as dogs who find a traditional daycare environment overwhelming.

What Makes Dog Camp Different?

Small Groups and Strong Bonds

We keep our pack small to create a comfortable, familiar experience. Consistent relationships help dogs build trust and make social interactions more predictable.

Thoughtful Screening

Each dog goes through an extensive screening process to assess their obedience, temperament, and interactions with people and other dogs. Our goal is to build a compatible pack of friendly dogs who can learn and explore together.

Training in Real-Life Settings

Unlike traditional daycare, Dog Camp takes place outdoors, where distractions can change from moment to moment. We reinforce skills that help dogs stay focused, respond to guidance, and navigate these situations safely.

Calm Behavior and Self-Control

Throughout each outing, we practice:

Leaving the house calmly.

Getting into and out of the car calmly.

Walking together as a pack.

Sit-stays and down-stays.

Coming when called.

Interacting calmly with people and other dogs.

Exploring scents and surroundings without becoming overly excited.

Every dog learns at their own pace. We provide structure and guidance to help them understand camp routines, build confidence, and develop self-control.

How You Can Support Your Dog’s Experience

Consistency between home and camp helps your dog succeed. We’ll share training tips and observations so you can reinforce the same skills at home.

For example, we ask dogs to settle before leaving the house or entering the car. Waiting for calm behavior helps set the tone for positive interactions during transportation and on the trail.

You can support this process by:

Practicing the skills we recommend.

Reinforcing calm behavior during everyday routines.

Allowing us to work through training steps during pickup without interrupting.

Following through consistently with guidance at home.

Working together helps your dog understand expectations and get more out of every camp day.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Maintain Your Dog’s Training

Dog Camp builds on existing obedience and social skills. Owners are responsible for maintaining those foundations and reinforcing training outside of camp.

Recognize the Limits of Group Care

Dog Camp is designed for dogs who can safely participate in group activities. It is not an intensive behavior-modification program for aggression, severe fear, or behaviors such as running away or failing to respond to recall.

Address Behavior Concerns

If your dog shows signs of aggression toward people or other dogs, you are responsible for withdrawing them from camp and consulting a professional trainer. We can provide a referral upon request.

We may also pause your dog’s participation until behavioral concerns have been addressed.

Support the Safety of the Pack

Our responsibility is to manage group activities and minimize risks to the dogs, our team, and the community. Owners remain responsible for their dogs and for any harm they may cause to another person, animal, or property.

Please take our training recommendations seriously. They help us maintain a safe, positive experience for everyone.

Working Together for a Great Camp Experience

We want your dog to enjoy the freedom to explore, build friendships, and be a dog. Your support helps us balance those opportunities with the structure and guidance the pack needs.

Thank you for helping make Dog Camp a positive experience for your dog, their camp friends, and our community.

Sincerely,

Vanessa Herrera
